series tour lands at Virginia Motorsports Park, May 18 – 20, 2012 with a
Chevrolet-packed weekend of early-summer fun for all Chevy motorsports
fans.
“The
staff here at Virginia Motorsports Park really gets excited when the
Super Chevy Show rolls into Virginia. It is something really special for
us,” said Bryan Pierce, Virginia Motorsports Park General
Manager. “Where else can you revisit Chevrolet’s rich history and be the
first to see what’s new coming from Detroit all in one place!”
Car
Show participants and fans will enjoy the two-day judged Car Show and
non-judged Show & Shine with specialty awards on Saturday and class
awards on Sunday with a weekend wrap up on Sunday evening with the Best
of Show Parade at 5:00 pm. In addition, Car Clubs with 10 or member
participants can call the track directly for an advance purchase

The
drag strip will be busy all weekend long with Chevy-Bodied or
Chevy-Powered rods, beginning Friday at 2:00 pm with the Racer Test
& Tune, Saturday and Sunday Bracket Races, the Camaro Rally and 4.90
Index Races. In addition, race fans can watch the Pro Mods and Jet Cars
wreak havoc on the drag strip during the popular Pro Show twice on
Saturday and Sunday.
The
Super Chevy Show at Virginia Motorsports Park offers a little something
for everyone, including the Swap Meet for those hard-to-find
restoration pieces, Midway for aftermarket performance products and a
Car Corral for that new project car. As well as the Revell Make ‘N Take
activity for kids in the Car Show tent.
“The
2012 show will be one to remember. In addition to the fabulous Car
Show, huge Swap Meet, and wide open racing including 200 mph Pro Mods
and 300 mph Jet Cars, this year’s event will showcase the legendary
Camaro,” said Pierce. “We plan to have a Camaro from every production
year represented plus extra Camaro vendors in the Midway. We want every
Camaro on the East Coast to join us in celebrating the iconic Chevrolet
model.”
