O'FALLON, MO (February 8, 2012) – The 2011 season was the first time Classic Graphix and owner Scott Bathurst went on the road with the American Drag Racing League (ADRL).
That Classic Graphix has returned as the Official Apparel and Crew Uniform Supplier of the ADRL in 2012 indicates how well the first year went.
The world's premier eighth-mile drag racing league announced the continued partnership on Wednesday, as Classic Graphix will continue to provide all of the official apparel and merchandise for the 2012 ADRL Tour as well as run the official ADRL online apparel store (www.adrlapparel.com).
Additionally, Classic Graphix will also present the Best Appearing Crew award at each of the 10 events in 2012.
"Last year was a new experience for us and it was a very interesting year. It was great to be out there to talk to all the fans, and we are definitely bringing things to the next level in 2012," Bathurst said.
"One of our larger customer bases is the ADRL. There's a tremendous fanbase and we're very excited about the 2012 season. We can't wait for the season to get started, and we're looking forward to going to some of the new tracks on the schedule."
With more than 20 years in the drag racing apparel business, the California-based Classic Graphix has been a longtime apparel provider for many of the top names in drag racing.
In addition to their popular and eye-catching T-shirt designs for many of the top drivers in the sport, Classic Graphix also designs crew uniforms for the likes of Dan Millen, Bubba Stanton and other top names.
As the Official Apparel and Crew Uniform Supplier of the ADRL, Classic Graphix designs all official ADRL apparel and merchandise. The company has greatly increased its ADRL line for 2012 as well and will include new shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and hats and other new novelty items like backpacks and license plate frames.
At each race, Classic Graphix will also unveil a new T-shirt specific for that event, something that was a top-seller at each track in 2011.
"We want to expand on what we had last year," Bathurst said. "Everything we released last year sold and we felt we did well with all the designs we had, but we want to offer more this year.
"At each track, there's different things that sell well, but we have enough various styles to suit all fans."
Classic Graphix will continue to have a noticeable presence at each ADRL event, selling a variety of new ADRL apparel and other items out of a new merchandise trailer.
The 2012 ADRL Tour begins on March 30-31 with CarSafe Dragpalooza VIII from Royal Purple Raceway in Houston, and includes 10 stops at several of the nation's most prestigious tracks.
"We're thrilled to continue this partnership with Classic Graphix. Their creativity is unmatched in the drag racing apparel business, and they've done a tremendous job capturing what the ADRL is about," ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune said.
"Our fans really enjoyed the new products Classic Graphix offered in 2011 and we can't wait to see what they have in store for 2012."
With five different artists at Classic Graphix, the company continues to pride itself on unique and original looks.
Being on-site at each ADRL event also allowed Classic Graphix to work closely with a number of teams and drivers.
"That's one thing we see as an advantage. We're not stuck to one specific look," Bathurst said. "If they want a cartoon look or a crazy look, we can provide that. We can offer a variety and give them something different.
"When we're working with teams, we always try to change it up so it's not always the same style of shirts."
