GLENDORA, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2011) —NHRA officials announced today that Summit Racing Equipment, based in Tallmadge, Ohio, has extended its title rights sponsorships of NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series events in Las Vegas and Atlanta.
The 13th annual SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals is scheduled for March 30 – April 1, 2012 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, while the 32nd annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals will take place at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Ga., May 4-6, 2012.
“The extension of these sponsorships further solidifies our partnership and commitment to NHRA drag racing at both the professional and sportsman levels.” said Jim Greenleaf, Motorsports and Events manager, Summit Racing Equipment. Summit Racing Equipment is the industry’s leading direct marketer of auto racing parts and equipment through catalogs and the Internet. It is headquartered a short distance from the Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, venue for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals. Summit Racing Equipment’s sponsorship of the Norwalk event was extended earlier this year.

Summit Racing Equipment has held the title rights of the event in Las Vegas since its inception in 2000 and has served as title rights sponsor in Atlanta for a decade, dating back to the 2003 season. Summit Racing Equipment is also the official high performance source of NHRA and sponsor of the popular NHRA Summit Racing Series which features a bracket racing format staged at NHRA member tracks nationwide that allows drivers in many types of vehicles, including dragsters, roadsters, sedans, coupes and motorcycles, to compete on an equal basis.
Summit Racing Equipment also serves as the primary sponsor of newly crowned NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Pro Stock world champion, Jason Line, and his teammate, Greg Anderson, a four-time NHRA Pro Stock world champion.
