BALOOSHI TAKES PROVISIONAL TOP SPOT IN PRO MOD QUALIFYING AT MAC TOOLS U.S. NATIONALS
CLERMONT, Ind. – Khalid Balooshi raced to the provisional No. 1 qualifying position Friday as the NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series returned to Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis for the prestigious Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil.
Balooshi, who currently leads the points in the category, drove his Speedtech ’68 Camaro to a 6.056-second run at 240.29 mph to take the top spot in the field. If it stands, it would be Balooshi’s first No. 1 qualifier of the season in the seventh event of the NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series.
Norwalk race winner Mike Castellana currently sits fourth with his run of 6.099 at 239.10, while second place driver in the point standings, Danny Rowe sits third with a run of 6.084 at 241.71.
Qualifying continues Saturday with sessions at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Qualifying will continue Sunday at 1:30 p.m., with the first round of eliminations beginning at 4:30 p.m.

CLERMONT, Ind. -- Friday's Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series results after the first one of four rounds of qualifying for the 57th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, seventth of 10 events in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. Qualifying will continue Saturday for Sunday's final eliminations.
