5th Gen Camaros Will Battle for Cash and Trophies
ENNIS, Texas (May 23, 2011) – Owners of the new 5th Generation Camaros should be practicing holding a trophy and check in hand. Now that Speedtek Performance has partnered with Texas Motorplex for the 5th Gen Camaro Shootout, the winner will receive prize money and a trophy at Super Chevy Show.
The nation’s largest automotive celebration, Super Chevy Show will be at Texas Motorplex June 4-5. The Speedtek Performance 5th Gen Camaro Shootout will be held both Saturday and Sunday.
Speedtek Performance owner Keith Sullivan is also going to hand over some cold, hard cash to the participant with the quickest pass in the category.
“There are more than 140,000 new Camaros on the road now and the Speedtek Performance 5th Gen Camaro Shootout is the perfect way to admire the car’s beauty and performance,” Motorplex GM Gabrielle Stevenson said. “We’re thrilled Speedtek Performance has stepped up and given the racers even more incentive to come out and show off the new Camaro.”
Known for utilizing state of the art equipment and using the best performance parts since 1998, Speedtek Performance located in Haltom City, is the choice for those looking to achieve the ideal level of performance from their vehicles.
Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
