Norwalk, Ohio, May 26, 2011 – The International Hot Rod Association is proud to announce a brand new website dedicated to serving the sportsman racer and providing the latest racing news from the most sportsman-friendly sanctioning body in drag racing.
The new IHRA.com features a new streamlined presentation, new features and an easily accessible interface designed to provide racers and fans alike a place to go for all things IHRA sportsman racing.
"The first thing you will notice when you visit the new IHRA website is the Ironman trophy jumping off the page and showing what this site is all about – IHRA sportsman racing," said Skooter Peaco, IHRA VP of Race Operations. "Our goal is to provide a cleaner, easier and more exciting website for our racers and fans and I think this site has all of that and more."
The new IHRA.com website is designed to focus solely on IHRA sportsman racing at the national, regional and local levels, including complete coverage from Nitro Jam and Summit Pro-Am events, the Summit SuperSeries, the Summit Tournament of Champions and other various IHRA sportsman programs and races including the brand new Summit Racing Sportsman Spectacular.
Some of the website features include complete results and stats from IHRA events, stories on IHRA sportsman racers, tracks and more, exciting action photography and easy access to all the latest rule changes, forms and need-to-know information straight from the offices of the IHRA.
More than anything the new website is designed to be a one-stop-shop for all things IHRA sportsman racing, while all professional news and information from the Nitro Jam tour will be relegated to the recently launched Nitro Jam website at www.nitrojam.com.
"We felt it was important to separate the two entities and give both the complete attention each deserves," Peaco said. "The new IHRA website will give us a chance to communicate directly with our racers and give them and the fans the information they need to know at all levels of competition. By giving the professional show its own home, we can now focus on what matters most here at the IHRA – providing the best sportsman racing in the country.
"The new IHRA website follows the same line of sportsman-oriented thinking that helped give sportsman their own uninterrupted time and spotlight at Nitro Jam events. Basically, by moving Nitro Jam to its own site, it allows us to highlight and feature sportsman news more prominently than in the past."
