Top Sportsman team prepared and eager for next event at Cayuga June 10-12
BUFFALO, NEW YORK (June 2, 2011) – Dan Flanigan is one happy man these days.
The Buffalo resident recently acquired a three-year sponsorship commitment for his Top Sportsman team in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts.
"We just signed a three-year deal with NOCO Energy Corporation," Flanigan said. "Everything went really well. This means a new truck, new trailer, and new uniforms."
The driver of the Flanigan Racing Team 2002 Pontiac Firebird plans to compete in all the Quick 32 Sportsman Series events, and added the team just finished building the engine for the car.
"It's a 632-cubic inch big block," he said. "We've had it freshened up by Mike Janis, and we're ready to go.
"We'll be ready for the next race."
The Firebird is a Vito Antonicelli Race Cars product, and the fuel system on the engine has been updated with a pair of 1150-cfm carburetors. A Competition Transmissions Powerglide is attached to the engine.
Crew chief for the team is Sam Christian. Other team members include Jim Flanigan, John Flanigan, Mary Lisa, Molly and Audrey Flanigan.
Major sponsorship is provided by the NOCO Energy Corporation and NOCO Lubricants Canada, and Flanigan is looking forward to this renewed alliance.
"This sponsorship is just great," he mentioned. "We'll now have the tools and equipment. This will be great corporate sponsorship," he continued. "This will be a great marketing package."
Flanigan is incredibly appreciative of Jim and Mike Newman, President and Executive Vice-president of the NOCO Energy Corporation for renewing and believing in the team.
And Flanigan and his team plan to be front and center for the next Quick 32 Sportsman Series event, the Xtreme Mayhem Nationals at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park June 10-12.
"The series is fantastic," said Flanigan. "It's great for us. It's a great venue. I'm dying to get racing."
