SHIFT Independent Drag Racing Movie

My name is Randy Spence. I am the writer and producer of an upcoming independent film titled "SHIFT". This film is the story of a grassroots stick shift drag racer, set against the backdrop of the North Carolina/ Virginia based Classic Gear Jammers circut. My father Roscoe Spence is a CGJ, and drives the 1972 Chevy Nova known as the "Outlaw Mouse". This club includes 8-Time IHRA World Super Stock Champion Mike Boyles and his "Good Ol' Charlie Brown" 57 Chevy Wagon.

We are planning to shoot in the Spring of 2011 at Farmington Dragway just outside of Winston-Salem, NC. We are in talks with a prominent NHRA Pro Stock team for their driver to perform a cameo in the film. We hope to announce this in the coming weeks.

Currently we are beginning our fund-raising effort to shoot the film, and we have been reaching out to the Drag Racing community. We really feel like this is our home, our base audience and we want to include them in the journey of bringing this film to the screen.

Please take a look at our Website for the film, Our Teaser, and our Indie GoGo Profile. If you would like to share any of these with your readers it would be a great help in spreading the word within the community about the film. We are excited to bring the Drag Racing world its first real film since "Heart Like A Wheel" to the big screen, and I would be happy to speak to anyone who would like to know more information.

All the best! Randy Spence
