RacingJunk.com named presenting sponsor for IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals

NORWALK, Ohio (August 23, 2011) – The International Hot Rod Association is pleased to announce that RacingJunk.com will be the presenting sponsor for the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals October 14-16 at Virginia Motorsports Park.



The IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals presented by RacingJunk.com at VMP will be the biggest sportsman weekend in IHRA history with over $200,000 in prize money dispersed among three big races including the Summit Racing Sportsman Spectacular, the Summit Racing Tournament of Champions and the Summit SuperSeries.

Along with the huge weekend purse, champions will be crowned in all seven IHRA classes including Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, ClassRacer.com Super Stock, ClassRacer.com Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod. Champions will also be crowned in the Summit SuperSeries Box and No Box classes.

The Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Spectacular will kick-off the weekend on Friday, October 14 with the last chance to qualify for the TOC. The race is open to all competitors with a valid IHRA or NHRA membership with $5,000 going to the winner in each class.

On Saturday, October 15 racing will continue with time trials for the Summit Racing Tournament of Champions and Summit SuperSeries followed by the crowning of all 2011 champions on Sunday, October 16 all at Virginia Motorsports Park.
