O'FALLON, MO (August 8, 2011) – The American Drag Racing League's (ADRL) popular complimentary tickets now have a new look.
Applying a number of interactive and informative upgrades, the world's premier eighth-mile drag racing league debuted the new in-market complimentary tickets leading up to the upcoming Speedtech U.S. Drags IV, which takes place Aug. 12-13 at Virginia Motorsports Park (VMP) in Petersburg, Va.
Along with an improved and more striking appearance, the tickets have a number of interactive features.
On the back of each ticket is a QR (quick response) code that fans can scan with their smart phone to receive step-by-step directions to Virginia Motorsports Park.
In addition to ADRL, event and track information, the front of each complimentary ticket also features specific GPS coordinates that can be used on any GPS device to receive turn-by-turn directions to VMP.
"Introducing these new in-market tickets is an exciting step in the ADRL's ticket distribution program and we've made it simpler and more convenient for fans to experience some of the best drag racing in the world," ADRL Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Brian Evans said.
"The features and interactive ability on these tickets is great, and the GPS and QR code capability makes it easier than ever for our fans to get to the track and enjoy the ADRL."
The new complimentary ticket also includes the highlights for an ADRL national event racing weekend and lists the parking price as well.
The QR code and GPS directions will be featured on all in-market complimentary tickets for the final four 2011 events – the Speedtech U.S. Drags (Aug. 12-13 at VMP), Dragstock VII (Sept. 9-10 at Rockingham Dragway), Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags V (Sept. 23-24 at Summit Motorsports Park) and the LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals VII (Oct. 21-23 at Texas Motorplex) – and will provide turn-by-turn directions to the specific track of that ADRL event.
