Confirmed NHRA drivers include Hector Arana Jr., Ron Capps, Erica Enders, Robert Hight, and Morgan Lucas with popular NHRA Announcer Bob Frey
POMONA, Calif. – Some of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series’ most popular drivers have confirmed their participation in the Automobile Club of Southern California’s Question & Answer session at Friday night’s (Nov. 9) Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum’s Night of Champions.
The drivers who will be featured at the Auto Club Q&A are Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Hector Arana Jr.; Funny Car championship contender Ron Capps; four-time national event Pro Stock winner Erica Enders; Top Fuel driver Morgan Lucas; and 2009 Funny Car world champ Robert Hight. The drivers will answer fans' questions following the second day of qualifying at the 48th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals (Nov. 8-11) at the nearby Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. NHRA Announcer Bob Frey will serve as the panel moderator.
“We are excited to bring these professional NHRA drivers to the NHRA Museum during the Auto Club’s Q&A event,” said Larry Fisher, executive director of the NHRA Motorsports Museum. “This is a rare opportunity for race fans to visit the museum and meet some of their favorite drivers at no charge. We encourage all to join us for this special program and visit the Museum often during race weekend when the Museum is open late and free for everybody.”
The admission-free Auto Club Q&A, which begins at 6 p.m., will not only include an energetic discussion between drivers and fans, but the drivers also will be available for autographs and photo opportunities. Free admission includes Museum entrance and tram service which runs until 10 p.m.
During the Auto Club NHRA Finals, the Museum is open late, offers exclusive gift shop deals, and unique events such as Wednesday’s Prolong Twilight Cruise, Friday’s Auto Club Q&A and Saturday’s Racing Collectible Show. A free tram is provided for race fans from the track’s main gate, Gate J, to the Museum. Museum hours during the NHRA Finals are Wednesday, Nov. 7, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday, Nov. 8, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 9, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 11, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
