KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 1, 2011) – Super Chevy Magazine’s AMSOIL Best of the Best, presented by Danchuk competition winners have been announced on www.superchevy.com.
Your votes have been tallied and each of the five categories winners have been announced for the following categories: Tri-Five, Camaro, Nova, Chevelle/Malibu and Full-Size and 1958 and up, from the finalists chosen at all of the Super Chevy Show events during the 2011 season.
Tri-Five - Craig Smith, ’56 Utility Sedan
Camaro - Mike Yale, ’70 Restomod
Chevelle/Malibu - Doug Yoder, Restored ’66 SS 396 Convertible
Nova - David Kissner, ’66 L79 Nova SS
Full-Size - Tommy Nolen, ’61 Impala SS 409
“The AMSOIL Best of the Best competition, presented by Danchuk, exceeded all of our expectations at Super Chevy Magazine,” said Editor Jim Campisano. “It added a unique element to the Super Chevy Shows that no other events can offer—essentially, an Internet-based car show where the visitors pick the winners in each class.
“Our staff had a blast judging the cars at all the events. We got up close and personal with some unreal rides and their owners. It drove website traffic at superchevy.com through the roof and got great exposure for our readers’ cars, the Super Chevy Show series, and our sponsors, AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants and Danchuk. We’re already thinking of ways to make it better next year.”
Each Grand Champion will receive a custom-made AMSOIL Best of the Best jacket, $500 AMSOIL gift certificate and Super Chevy Magazine plaque.
