Made In The U.S.A. -- it can be done

Then pass it along to your contact list...since our government isn’t much help, we’ll have to get the country righted ourselves!

OKAY…what about starting to do this with our performance aftermarket stuff??!! I challenge someone to do what this homebuilder in this piece did – let’s get someone to build a muscle car or other kind of street vehicle, or a race car with all of the components “Made in the U.S.A.”

It will take some digging to be certain the products are indeed “Made in the U.S.A.” and not made off-shore by a US-based company.  Think of what this would mean to our industry and our U.S.-based employees!  We may actually have a better track record than the home construction industry, but what a better way to promote our industry to the country?  I would think the opportunity to build a muscle car, a sport truck, street rod, a 4x4, a race car – drag racing, circle track, road race, off-road – under the kind of program outlined on the program would be a great boost for the industry.

Why not one of each??  Highlight  them in the SEMA Show, PRI Show, major race events across the country.  Let our constituents (customers, fans) and ourselves know this can be done and how to do it!
