Dart Machinery named presenting sponsor for Northern Nationals

IHRA has announced that Dart Machinery of Troy, Mich. has been named the presenting sponsor for the upcoming IHRA Northern Nationals at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park July 31-August 2 in Martin, Mich.

“Dart has a long standing relationship with IHRA through their support of both sportsman and professional racers. They produce quality and affordable engine pieces that all racers can count on,” said Tommy Dupree, National Sales Director for the IHRA. “This year they continued that support by becoming an even bigger partner as the presenting sponsor of the IHRA Northern Nationals.”

Dart Manufacturing, one of the leaders in aftermarket cylinder heads, intake manifolds and engine blocks, was founded by Richard Maskin in 1981 and has been actively involved in all facets of the drag racing industry since.

“Dart Machinery’s roots are in drag racing. IHRA provides a large market to us where we look to support the racers attending these events,” said Ted Keating, General Manager for Dart Machinery.

With Dart’s headquarters located in Michigan, it was a perfect fit for the company to come on board and partner with one of the largest drag races in the state at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park later this month.

“The IHRA Northern Nationals at U.S. 131 is local to Dart, which is not only a beautiful facility, but is a home event for us and many racers we look to support,” Keating said. “We are pleased and honored to be involved with IHRA at such a wonderful facility and look to support the racers and fans with trackside support as they attend the late July event.”

More importantly, Dart Manufacturing stepped up and continued to show its support to the racers and fans during a time where most companies are scaling back.

“We know in these tough times some companies are pulling back. Dart stepped up to the plate to show why they are the premier engine component manufacturer,” Dupree said.

The IHRA Northern Nationals presented by Dart Manufacturing will take place July 31-August 2 at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Mich.
