Daniels Takes NHRA Mopar Hemi Challenge
HEBRON, Ohio (September 26, 2009) – Saturday’s racing activities at the 5th annual NHRA JEGS Northern SPORTSnationals have been cancelled due to persistent rain showers. Scheduled to run was the Stock and Super Stock class eliminations, including the popular NHRA Mopar Hemi Challenge. The class winners were determined from Friday’s lowest elapsed time of the qualifying runs, which gave Jim Daniels of Bristol, Pa., the $5,000 winner-take-all cash prize and the Mopar Hemi Challenge title.
Racing at National Trail Raceway is scheduled to begin Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with Round 1 eliminations in Stock Eliminator, Super Street and Super Stock, followed at 10:30 a.m. with final, Round 2 qualifying in Top Dragster, Top Sportsman and Competition Eliminator.
