03-19-2013 Huntington, NY – The Northeast Outlaw Pro Mod Association (NEOPMA), who has brought you the best in domestic Pro Mod events for the past 20 years, has teamed up with NDIMA (National Domestic Import Motorsports Association) and USA Auto Supply to introduce an additional exciting new element into the series; IMPORTS.
The line between Pro Mods and Imports has typically been drawn at the half track mark with the Imports preferring 1/4 mile racing and the majority of Pro Mod series limiting the race to 1/8th mile. NEOPMA features many of the fastest Pro Mods in the country, and NEOPMA runs the Quarter Mile!!
Today's Extreme/Modified Imports consistently run the 1/4 mile in turbocharged 4cyl/6cyl engines clocking 6-7 second passes in excess of 200mph. All that performance is coming out of short wheel base cars pushing well past 1,000hp blasting down the track at unheard of speeds. Import racing is experiencing a renaissance of technological advancements; these cars break world records every time they hit the pavement creating an environment of fierce competition great for fans, and the progression of the sport.
