MEMPHIS INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY MAKES BOLD RETURN TO THE SUPER CHEVY SHOW SERIES IN 2012
MILLINGTON, Tenn., (December 30, 2011) – With the return of warm and sunny weather, Memphis International Raceway brings back the Super Chevy Show, after a two-year hiatus. The popular and requested event makes its return to Memphis as the second stop on the tour, April 13 – 15, 2012.
The bold return of the Super Chevy Show in Memphis will bring Mid-South Chevrolet fans, Drag Racing Bracket Eliminations, Car Shows, Swap Meet and Midway showcasing event sponsors and vendors specializing in GM restoration and aftermarket products.
In addition, the event will include Pro Mod Eliminations, 5th Gen Camaro Shootout and special Pro Show attractions starring Freddy Sibley’s Speedcult and Paul Miller’s Blaze of Glory Jet Funny Cars, Danny O’Day’s Super Winch Wheel Stander and Nostalgia Dragsters.

IHRA announces 2012 Summit Pro-Am schedule
NORWALK, Ohio (January 5, 2011)
– With the 2012 racing season just around the corner, the International
Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is gearing up for a huge season of racing,
especially on the Summit Pro-Am Tour where a few changes are leading to
exciting new opportunities for racers.
In
2012 the Summit Pro-Am Tour will be combining with Nitro Jam for select
events to create a unique opportunity for racers across the country.
While most Pro-Am events will function as standalone races as they have
in the past, in 2012 select Pro-Am events will be run in conjunction
with the Nitro Jam professional series to create a more exciting
atmosphere and provide additional opportunities for Pro-Am racers to
qualify for the year-end Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of
Champions.

GLENDORA, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2012) – NHRA announced today the first official doubleheader NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in history, the week following the NHRA Arizona Nationals at Firebird International Raceway in Phoenix, Ariz.
The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series doubleheader will consist of a standard race on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 23-24, followed by a regional NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event featuring Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 25-26.
