2009 Nostalgia Little Guy Nationals
I'm Marc Wesler, I'm lucky enough to be the Drag Strip Manager at Virginia Motorsports Park. I wanted to take a minute and tell you about the 2009 Nostalgia Little Guys Nationals. The event will be taking place May 15-17 at Virginia Motorsports Park and is being hosted by the Best of Times Drag Racing Association along with the Suffolk Raceway Reunion. We are really excited about putting together what should be a fantastic show. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know about our show. Hey Dragsters!!! Here's a few real boss shots of the Dragmaster "Two Thing." Built in 1959 by Dragmaster's Dode Martin and Jim Nelson, the "Two Thing" was powered by two 354 cid Chevrolet motors, which sat side-by-side. It set a top speed at the 1960 NHRA Nationals of a little over 171 mph!!! Impressive. Thank you John Lindstrom for the bottom photos.

NHRA Division 4 Hall of Fame

12-08-08 Ennis, TX - The south Central region of the US has a long and illustrious history of drag racers, and drag racing machinery prior to 1980. That history is reflected in the NHRA Division Four Hall of Fame, which until recently was housed in the pits at the Texas Motorplex.

The space demands of the modern National Event has taken that space, but Billy Meyer has embarked on a project to allow even more race fans to experience that history. To rejuvenate the Hall, the Motorplex is reaching out to living Hall of Fame members, and the families of those who have laid the groundwork for this sport.
