Plant That Brewed Beer Shifts Attention to Ethanol
Sometimes Rick O'Shea still hears the beer bottles clanking in the shadows of the old Miller Brewing plant here, where he worked until the place closed more a decade ago. Melanie Troxel wanted a driving job in the NHRA drag-racing series. She wanted one so badly that some say she became a bit of a pest in her quest. Now, however, she is only pestering people on the track.
Bruce Larson joins elite of drag racing
Back when Bruce Larson was racing his hot rod on neighborhood streets, he didn't think about being one of the most-recognized names in professional drag racing, a 1989 Funny Car world champion or an inductee into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame. Larson, 68, of Dauphin, accomplished all three.

In an unusual reversal, the state House of Representatives yesterday killed a $50 million tax credit for a new motorsports complex at Kalaeloa after the Big Island lawmaker who sponsored the credit privately informed his colleagues he had a potential conflict of interest.

We put up our first site on the Internet in January 1996, and then put Draglist.com lists on the net on April 10, 1996. We have had 26,618,905 visitors since then! It's times like this that I wish we had a staff to write a huge story... but since we still do this as an all-volunteer effort in a few short hours a day, I'll have to refer you to our Contributors page, which contains a brief history of the site and some (but certainly not all) of the folks who help to make it happen. If a Tree Falls in the Drag Racing World…
How does the old saying go? If a tree falls in the woods and there is no one there to hear it, does it make a sound? That’s how I feel about drag racing sometimes. If something spectacular happens in drag racing, unless there is a visiting NASCAR beat writer on site, as far as public awareness it could have never happened.

Bernstein drops Troxel; Capps wins Funny Car final
Top Fuel driver Brandon Bernstein raced to his ninth career victory Sunday, beating points leader Melanie Troxel with a quarter-mile run of 4.534 at 329.83 mph in the O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals.

A Lawbreaking Mannequin's Fresh Start
